With over 300 people walking through the doors at Twickenham Stadium, the event brought together many trailblazers in this nascent industry.
To reflect how fragmented the energy space is and how many stakeholders from all across the value chain could stand to extract value from the growth of energy storage, the morning sessions looked at a variety of strategies and trends. Representatives from utilities, DNOs, ESCOs, Generators, Investors, National Grid took the stage and outlined how they as an organisation are approaching this space as well as their appetite. The afternoon was split into three different streams by market segmentation: residential, commercial and utility scale.
Overall the event was a great success and a testament of the fact that people are ready to deploy energy storage and investors have the appetite to invest rather than just speculate. We are now working hard to deliver the Energy Storage theatre at our Clean Energy Live show in October as well as next year's event.
